Job Details

System administration of Network, Web, and/or communications systems, including LAN and WAN systems, involving network security.

Requirements/Skills

Administration of user accounts and passwords.
Maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of links.
Establishes back-ups and monitors site security.
Consults with and advises network users.
Coordinates network administration and performance requirements with others in the information systems function.
Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.
Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues.
Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Recent experience with any of the software listed here is desired: Active Directory, DFS, DNS, Windows client and server OS, IIS, MS SQL Server, Symantec Netbackup, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and Cisco IOS.
Single point of contact between DOITT and NGC.
Coordination with Purchasing.
SharePoint Administration.
New User training.
Problem resolution.
Nightly backup of Contour database.
Nightly backup of Metastorm database.
Nightly backup of Sparx database.
Installation of tools on Server.
Nightly backup of Server (prior to DOITT installation).
Coordination with DOITT on moving to DOITT Server.
Migration from NGC Server to DOITT.
Tool Configuration and Customization.
Coordination of purchased vendor installation services.
Coordination and scheduling of purchased training.
Coordination of upgrades, patches and fault resolution.
Custom Report Generation.
Monitoring and maintaining synchronization between tools.
Monitoring and maintaining tool operation.
Knowledge of HP hardware such as Blade and Integrity technology.
Unix knowledge preferable.
MSCE prefered.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
